It has been a while since my last post, and a lot has happened. I have changed my NAS setup to be directly accessible in my Tailscale network without the need to use my Apple TV as a subnet router. I have also made a new startup…

Yes, you read that right, I have created a new startup. This is my first startup using AI in the solution. So to give you some context as to what problem this solves let me shortly tell you about my daily life.

I am currently attending my bachelor’s in Software engineering. At my university, we work in groups of 6-7 people which has to piece together a large coding project as well as a report of the whole project. As you can imagine there is a lot of communication about the project throughout the week. For that communication we use Slack. If you don’t know Slack it is like Discord for a more professional setting (If you don’t know Discord, I can’t help you…). Inside Slack, we have multiple channels regarding different topics, like supervisor meetings. In these channels, we write a lot of considerations, discuss important topics, and write things we need to remember.

So here is the problem: Often times it is hard to remember everything that has been written about throughout the week due to all the messages being sent. For that, I have created a solution that will help you remember. Say hello to Catch Up. Catch Up is a Slack bot that lets you summarize messages for all or specific channels using AI. This offers the opportunity for different Slack workspaces to easily summarize messages to get up to speed with everything that has happened.

If other people do not have this problem this startup might be a flop, but currently it scratches my own itch so for that I would say it has a chance to make it. Now I just have to figure out how to market it…
